She begged and begged her parents (Arthur and Molly Weasley) for a broomstick for her eigth birthday. She got a dollhouse.

One of the reasons why Ginny was so desparate to go to Hogwarts was to get away from her mother.

For the most of Ginny's first year she was teased constantly by two girls named Vera Goldman and Henrietta Wainthropp.

Ginny always made sure to stand up to Luna Lovegood if she was being teased. Mainly because she was the one who started off the nickname Loony Lovegood.

Her first mission was to follow three young death eaters of roughly the same age as her and their representative of you-know-whos to their meeting. Unfortunately, It turned out that the representative was Bellatrix Lestrange. Ginny was stunned in a flash.
